Last week our heater unexpectedly stopped working. Lloyd Calhoun came to our house to fix it at 10pm, about 30 minutes after we called. Recommending House Spouse: House Cleaning, Landscaping and More!

Jude Rutkowski started her small business, House Spouse, right here in the East End a few years ago. Jude and her crew have kept my life and home sane for me ever since, doing both routine cleaning and special projects like helping me store things so my house could be carpeted. House Spouse also runs errands and will do things like washing the cars and other "light" outdoor chores. Jude herself is available for pet care-- dog walking, pet sitting, taking an animal to the vet when the owner has to work, etc. She is a lovely cook (you should taste her homemade jams!) and also offers rides to and from medical appointments to people without access to a vehicle. House Spouse is adding a landscaping service and if their track record is any indication, I'm sure people will be delighted. I plan to have House Spouse do some work beautifying my yard. Jude is hard-working and versatile and she has made House Spouse in her own image. House Spouse keeps my small house under control even though I have multiple shedding pets-- all of whom love her, I might add. Jude herself is also a sweetheart. One time when she found out I had a very bad cold, she appeared at my front door bearing cough drops! And somehow, she manages to find staff who work as hard and are as delightful to know as she is.
