Does anyone know if Girl Scout cookies have been delivered yet? I ran into a group of Girl Scouts with their moms/troop leaders while I was walking my dog along Negley a while back. Although they were not out selling cookies right at that moment, they did happen to have an order form with them so I placed an order. They said the cookies would be delivered around Valentine's Day. I did not get any of their names or troop info so I have no idea how to contact them and I'm just wondering if the order ever went through. Thanks, Emily

Beginning on Friday morning and continuing until Sunday afternoon, there will be a bunch of miscellaneous items free for the taking on the porch of 901 N. Negley Ave., including: decorative items such as vases, candles, a mirror, pillow, clock, wreath, windchime and bowl lamp and lampshade easter basket several terrible towels an address book and photo album some vintage tins and boxes a bunch of new in packaging, unworn earrings - most feature purple gemstones and are pretty fancy - bought them to try on with a bridesmaid dress and never returned all the ones I didn't end up wearing throw rugs a dark wood dvd/cd stand - it's nice, looks like a piece of furniture a birdcage - not decorative, for a real bird Whatever's left on Sunday afternoon will be taken to the Goodwill. Please don't take our strollers, snow shovel or our daughter's porch swing! Most items will be loosely packed in boxes - please rifle through them gently and put things back where you found them. Also, unfortunately I don't have time to answer emailed questions about these items - if you think something listed here might strike your fancy, you'll have to just come take a look. Thanks! Emily

Call to Artists: Soup N'at

It's not too late to apply for a chance to take the Soup N'at stage! Soup N’at has funded the inspired projects of local Pittsburgh artists through the simple act of breaking bread. Union Project and New Sun Rising are excited to build upon the success of our event last November, with our February edition of Soup N’at. Artists of every medium are encouraged to submit a proposal for a project. Up to five are accepted for a Soup N’at dinner. The artists then present their proposals at Union Project on the 28th. Attendees cast ballots for their favorite presenter and the artist with the most votes takes home the night’s proceeds. Looking for funding for an interesting idea? Ok Parkers! I know a lot of you guys have been asking so here's a little view of what the class times might be:-) 6am class (heated) Monday's and Wednesday's 9:30am-10:30--- (heated) every morning except for Sunday. 12pm (non-heated) Monday-Friday, some beginners classes and some power classes. As for evenings, there's going to be a class everyday from 6:30pm-7:30pm and possibly adding another evening one as time goes by. Fun Vacation Idea

Neighbors, We just returned from our second winter trip to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, and we are already planning a third. If this sounds like fun, I have included my notes in the attached file. Note: I am not a Bourbon fan but loved the tours, the beautiful Kentucky hills, the wonderful food, the quiet accommodations, and the chance to get away for a long weekend in the middle of a bleak winter.
