The Highland Park (Zoo) Farmers' Market is scheduled to begin in May, however several key pieces of information are still uncertain. Exciting classes include majolica classes, slip casting, wheel throwing, mug making, tile making, kiln building and more. Email Justin(a)unionproject.org for more information. Dear Highland Park People, I recently purchased and remodeled 831 Collins Street (about 6 houses down from Jackson St.). The 2nd and 3rd floor apartments are finished and rented out. A school teacher is living on the 3rd floor and a newly married couple from our church on the 2nd floor. The first floor will be available June 1st. All of the apartments are very nice (wood floors, new carpeting and appliciances, etc), but the first floor will be the nicest. First floor includes a large bedroom with new closets, remodeled bathroom, nice kitchen with an island, bar stools, new appliances, and a living room with new carpeting. 1st floor also has indoor access to washer/dryer in the basement. [Highland Park] incident on Saturday 4-15-06

Around 4:30 pm on the 15th of April I looked out of a second floor window facing the back yard.At this instant, a young, white woman was tearing a vine and fencing in order to enter our back yard from our neighbor's yard.She was talking on a cell 'phone and hurried to the other side of the garage to a back fence.She did continue to look around and talk on her cell 'phone. I thought of banging on the window, however, raced downstairs and by then she had completed her departure. Our neighbor on the other side was having a party and there were people outside which may be the reason for the intruder not using a driveway.Our location is on Jackson St near Highland Ave.. Has anyone in Highland Park had a similar experience? I did not report this incident. --------------------------------- Love cheap thrills?
