Hi, Folks, Puppy teeth have damaged a tiny piece of the power cord to my scanner; it is a great scanner but replacing the part I need (cord from wall to transformer) costs about $80 (more than I paid for the scanner). The cord that only costs $19 is just fine. Splicing (so far) has not worked... If anyone happens to be disposing of an Epson scanner and doesn't need the power supplies anymore, let me know. Thanks. Kate, Bloomfield Hardware on Liberty Avenue does good work and are reasonable. I have used them several times. [Highland Park] Wood Stripper recommendation

Can anyone recommend a person to strip and refinish woodwork (bannisters, mantels, etc.)? Must use pet-safe, non-toxic materials and not be outrageously expensive, and willing to do a little at a time as we can afford. Thanks!

Hi all! I just wanted to warn the neighborhood, at least 3 cars were egged sometime Friday morning before 10AM on Chislett @ Wellesley. Since egg eats paint away you may want to check your cars to see if you were hit. I haven't files a police report or anything, but maybe I should? -FYI Dave P Chislett ST
