[Highland Park] Picture Frames Needed

Hello neighbors- I am attempting to copy a cool idea I saw in a modern art magazine and need quite a few 8x10 and 11x13 picture frames to pull it off. If you have any lying around that you would like to donate to my crafty plan, I would appreciate it! The more unusual the better but would also appreciate plain or wood frames as well. The point is the picture inside. I am willing to pay small sums if you would rather sell but would like to keep my experiment as inexpensive as possible in case I can't pull it off... On tap for Thursday, October 4, at St. Andrew's, Highland Park: First Thursday Evensong, 8 p.m., observing the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, with a choral service of Evensong sung by the Parish Choir, Peter Luley, Organist and Choirmaster, Alastair Stout, Associate Organist, Jeremy Jelinek, Vicar Choral. And a fabulous recital to open the fall season, with Laura Krentzman, viola, and Erberk Eryılmaz, piano, playing a program including works by Bela Bartok, Ahmed Adnan Saygun (arr.Krentzman/Eryilmaz), and by our pianist Erberk Eryilmaz. As always on "First Thursday" evenings, a festive reception will follow the service and recital in the Parish Hall. All are invited! I want to take the wife to the Opera and small children dont really dig that kind of thing. We would need someone from about 7 til probably 11 ish and would pay $10 an hour! Wow - thank you friends and neighbors! I received lots of responses to my request for recommendations for a new PCP that will be covered by UPMC insurance. A couple of folks asked that I share the list so here it is: -I really enjoy my dr, Margaret Morton in SqHill. I really haven't had any problems, but she always takes her time with me, and has a great sense of humor. She's independent, and participates in BOTH insurance plans. -I use Dr. Molly Conroy and she is part of UPMC insurance. She's at Montifiore, is very thorough, smart and I really like her. -I like Dr. Lori Steifel at Shadyside Family Health Center on Centre Ave in Shadyside. She's very good, very nice and responsive. Free parking. Evening hours available -Marty Seltman at Metro Family Practice 412.247.2310 -Marcy Jakovic, at Prime Care Medical in Aspinwall. She's a D.O. and part of an excellent group. -I recommend Dr Peter Bulova w UPMC internal Medicine. He is excellent! -Metro family practice: 4122472310 (my best friend -who is a family doc works there) Allison Aiken I am a family doc also, but my office is in greentree (I live in hp) -We use Raquel Buranosky who is on 9th fl of Montifiore Hospital in the Dept of Internal Medicine. She was a student of my husband's who is a physician. Very bright and nice. The best!! Very interested in Women's Health Issues -My PCP is Natalia Morone (http://findadoc.upmc.com/PhysicianBioQuery.aspx?EPCDID=16719) She is really nice, always listens carefully and respectfully to any concerns. She is at Montefiore. -We like the General Internal Medicine practice at Montefiore Hospital. I have had two doctors there (one left to pursue a different opportunity a few years ago) and have thought both were very good. I was not made to wait in the office for long periods of time. Since it is a large practice, if my physician is not available when I need to be seen sooner than later, there is someone else who can see me. 412 692-4888. Also, I can always find parking at the Montefiore garage and they validate my ticket so I think I only pay about $5.00. My PCP is Dr. Carla Spagnoletti but there are several excellent doctors in the practice. Dr. Spagnoletti sees me in person when I need a hands-on consultation, but she is also very responsive to on-line questions and prescription refills. -My wife and I use Dr Carolyn Ellis We both think she's a great PCP http://findadoc.upmc.com/PhysicianBioQuery.aspx?ID=331&A= -Dr. Marcy Jackovic, D.O. 412-781-8566 in Aspinwall. -I have seen Dr. Michele Organist for years - she's wonderful! She's easy to talk to, quick to smile, thorough, definitely hands-on, communicates well. She used to be part of West Penn's system, now is with UPMC - her office in the medical building near Soldiers & Sailors and has a free parking in a garage shared w/ the Holiday Inn Express hotel. I've recommended her to at least one other friend who's now also been a long-time patient and really likes her, too. -I am very pleased with Dr. Smuckler out of Renaissance Family Practice in Glenshaw. The phone number is 412-487-4422. Actually, any of the doctors have been pretty good there when I've had to see someone else, but Dr. Smuckler has really been a lifesaver....literally! Neighbors - I know that that a decision is about to be made concerning PA's voter id law - but a colleague at work shared this link and I wanted to share it with you all. I nearly had a coronary the first time I inputted my information to make sure I was registered; following the form's instructions, I put in my full middle name. No dice - it said I was not listed in the registry. (Ack!) When I tried again and just used my middle initial, it verified my registration. https://www.pavoterservices.state.pa.us/Pages/VoterRegistrationStatus.aspx In short, it's a good thing to double check - but beware the idiosyncratic fillable form. Hi Neighbors! My sister and her 2 year old son are moving in with me next week. They are coming from Philadelphia and dont have much to bring with them. Would anyone happen to have a bed that they dont want/use anymore? Perferably larger than a twin.
