[Highland Park] Bryant Street development still planned?

Upon writing my last email (about how fantastic the restaurants are that we currently have on Bryant St.), I realized I've been meaning to ask this on the listserv for a while: Does anyone know the status of what was supposed to be new construction occurring on Bryant St.? The HP newsletter earlier this year said groundbreaking would begin this summer, but, alas, it is October and no sign of new construction. Just wondering if these projects are still set to be completed, and, if so, when they may begin. More curious than anything b/c I love Bryant St. and would love to see a few more things for us all to enjoy (including a flower shop, hint hint) :^) Meg

I second what Olga said about Teppanyaki Kyoto - we went there when it first opened and were very pleased! Four of us shared nine dishes (ranging from appetizers/salads to mains) + saki and it all came to about $80. The service was great, the food presentation was wonderful and it all was delicious. We're also frequent patrons of Park Place Pub, as the chef there is wonderful (very hard working - he's there from morning to close nearly every day (if not every day)). He regularly shares his homemade wine w/ us and it's excellent. He's also allowed us to sample some of his wings and pizzas just because :^) We regularly order their burgers (massive, filled w/ wonderful, fresh ingredients), wings (WHOLE wings - not the little drummies you get from other places - they are amazing) AND pizza (the crust is second-to-none and there are unique topping choices) b/c they're all fantastic. The prices here are super reasonable and the chef really cares about how is food is created and it shows. Also not usually super busy (which I think it's a bit unfortunate), so wait time is totally reasonable. We're really lucky to have Bryant St. going strong in this neighborhood. Make sure you support it so we can see even more growth (which is good for all homeowners in the neighborhood). Meg

Hey Everyone, *I just wanted to send this out one more time because we have a few spots left for our $50 Fall Mini Shoots. If you are interested, please email me back with which spot you would like to have! The details are below.* I am hosting *30 minute Fall Mini Shoots* on *OCTOBER 13th* and *OCTOBER 20th* for *$50*. The basic idea is that you pay $50 for a 30 minute time slot and then receive between 5-10 images fully edited in high resolution on a DVD. You have full reproduction rights to those images for printing Christmas cards, frames, Facebook, etc. The sessions can be for couples, families, engagements, kids, and pets. (excludes newborns) The session times are listed below.
