Hey, folks. I trapped another kitty. This one had clearly been out in the weather for a while. Not sure whether it was male or female. Long-haired, black and white. Larger. Still looked very healthy, just dirty. Took it to Animal Rescue League on Hamilton. They said it came right out of the trap and just looked around, so I'm assuming it was someone's cat at some point. If it sounds familiar, please call Animal Rescue League. Or, if it sounds like someone you want to add to your household, see if anyone has claimed it... Thanks everyone! Rachel

Many thanks to all of you for your recommendations! jai (listed in the order received) I go to Mary Vogel, downtown. She is great. She teaches in the dental school, so has a limited schedule. My wife and I just went through a change of dentists. It's been difficult, but I believe we found a new home for our dental care: Dr. Bonsteel at Chesnut Hill Dentistry (Shady Ave @ Forbes in Squirrel Hill). Can't speak to his approach to x-rays, but I certainly appreciate the fact that I don't feel as though I'm getting a sales pitch for services at each visit. He suggests treatments and care that seem appropriate and fair. I am not sure about her holistic tendencies, but I go to Cynthia Labriola in Bloomfield, as does my entire family, and she is terrific. I also really like her office staff - friendly, good with kids, gentle with my teeth :) recently used Myles Dental on Highland Ave --as I too - needed to find a new dentist.... very pleased with the care and the work --- very clean surroundings Nova dental associates in etna and bloomfield - Dr Wolfe Tom Blaze 412-682-4747; Oakland on Meyran Avenue I highly recommend Harvey Block. His office is in the same building complex as the East End Food Coop. He just is finishing up training as an Naturapath, and has been interested in holistic dentistry for ages. George Wehrle, located in Aspinwall, excellent. 781-2722. You might ask at Pittsburgh Alternative Health. I don't think they dentistry but might have referrals. Dentist, Dr. Dan Rubenstein 412-362-9012. I have been going to him for 40 years. Located on South Highland Ave. Lives in Stanton Heights. Would highly recommend. Dr. Thomas Blaze, in Oakland. 412.682.4777. He has been our family dentist for a long time. Reasonalby priced. Great service and not overboard on "extras." Tell him that Jean and Jon sent you.

Hi, In our continued efforts to declutter the house we are giving away this super nice chess set. The story goes that my husband bought it when he was16, but has never really used it, and he just wants it gone. It is very pretty, made of marble and heavy! The pieces are marble too. It needs to be fixed because 1/3-1/2 of the rim on one side became detached. I tried to fix it but I really am very bad at that and ended up full of glue :) So, if there is any enthusiast out there that would like to have a lovely set, let me know! Thanks for reading, Coty.-
