[Highland Park] recommendation for basement waterproofer needed

Dear Neighbors: About 2 years ago our basement was flooded when our sewer backed up from roots in our sewer (by the way, if you don't have the special coverage you need for roots in sewers, I recommend you get it! We didn't and it cost us $4,000 out of pocket to replace the pipes!). We also get some rain water in our basement during heavy rains. We need a basement waterproofing consultant. Any recommendations? Following is the schedule for the Fourth Annual All Saints Music Festival at St. Andrew's Church, one of the highlights of this season in the parish and neighborhood. All are welcome, and all services, recitals, and concerts are open to the public, and without charge (though free-will donations are gratefully received). 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, All Saints Day 2006: Choral Evensong, with the Choristers of Calvary Episcopal Church, Pittsburgh, under the direction of Dr. Alan Lewis. 8 p.m. Thursday, November 2, All Souls Day 2006: Choral Evensong, with the Choirs of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church and the Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, under the direction of Don Wilkins. A recital follows, featuring Amy Goldstein, Senior Choral Scholar of St. Andrew's Church. 8 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006: In Recital: Elizabeth Robideau, mezzo-sporano; John Moyer, piano; Yulia Zhukova, cello. Songs and Arias by Britten, Handel, Berlioz, Brahms, and Rossini. 11 a.m. Sunday, November 5, All Saints Sunday, 2006: Orchestral Eucharist, W.A. Mozart _Missa Brevis, in G major KV49. [Highland Park] Halloween Bach, Tuesday 8 p.m.

This is a very enjoyable neighborhood event, as the evening of Trick or Treating activities come to a conclusion. Children and adults are invited to come (in costume or not) as St. Andrew's Organist and Choirmaster Peter Luley plays the Toccata and Fugue in D minor, by J.S. Bach. The evening then includes an exploration of the ancient organ chamber and I climb up the Darke Tower to ring the Great Bell. Treats are distributed, and we're on our way home well before 9 p.m. (It is a school night, after all!) St. Andrew's is located at 5801 Hampton Street, between North Highland and North Negley Avenues, one block south of Bryant Street and four blocks south of the park, in the East End Pittsburgh neighborhood of Highland Park.
