Hi Neighbors, We are looking at putting a deck into our backyard - possibly wood, possibly stone - don't know yet. We need to choose a person skilled in landscape design as well deck building, however, because we are going to attempt to build said deck on the half of our backyard that is trying to escape into our neighbor's backyard. So, not only do we need a deck, but we need a way to stop our soil from heading for the hills. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated! [Highland Park] changes to recycling pickup

The city is now picking up corrugated cardboard, paperboard, magazines, catalogs and phone books for recycling in our neighborhood. Just put your stuff in blue bags. Corrugated cardboard boxes need to be flattened and tied. Yes they will take pizza boxes. This is really great, and the city should be commended. You will be amazed at how much this can cut down your garbage every week. Paperboard is stuff like cereal boxes. Look in your pantry and you will see it is full of this stuff. Please take advantage of this new service, god knows we pay enough taxes for it. Here is a link to the details on this program. Hi! I found a handsome, very friendly Pomeranian mix when walking my dog this morning. We ran into him on Wellesley & N Euclid. I put up signs with the information and talked to neighbors on the surrounding blocks but no one seems to know him. If you know to whom the dog belongs, please call me at 978-340-3230. I will hold on to him for a bit, but am going out of town soon and will have to leave him with animal control eventually. susan
