[Highland Park] new pub naming contest

Hello Neighbors. My partners and I are very close to closing on a property in Morningside where we are planning to open an historic Pittsburgh themed, family friendly pub. Before we can begin the licensing paperwork and all that fun stuff, we need a name for our pub. Some of the names we're considering are below. We're not sold on any of them. Hi neighbors, Our second car died this week, and we are in need of a new (used) vehicle. Has anyone had a good experience with any local used car dealers? We're looking to spend $4,000-$6,000 and would like a car that gets good gas mileage. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Erik

I am contacting you because Friends thinks your area could benefit from having people participate in the Tree Tenders courses. Beginning this year, Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest will be working with TreeVitalize Pittsburgh to plant new trees in city neighborhoods, and in order to qualify for these trees, some community members must participate in tree tender courses to learn how to care for them. The more people who participate in a Tree Tender course from an area, the more trees we can plant! A Tree Tender course is being offered in your area Tuesday evenings July 1st, 8th, and 15th at the Morningside VFW. [Highland Park] Dumpster Reccomendations we received

Dear Neighbors, Thank you very much for all of your responses to my request for dumpster recommendations. We wound up renting a 10 ft U-haul truck and taking it to the dump located in Reserve ourselves for a total cost of $125(truck $45 dump fee $80). Driveway Dumpster's received several recommendations, and Michael Bro's received 2. Keep in mind that the city charges an extra $100 street permit if you don't have a driveway for the dumpster. They have a website. _www.drivewaydumpsters.com_ (http://www.drivewaydumpsters.com/) $275 over a weekend. And you don't need a street permit if you have a driveway. Street permit is $100. * Crowley's Rolloff's is a suggestion, not sure how much they cost though but they are dependable. _http://www.crowleyrolloffs.com_ (http://www.crowleyrolloffs.com/) * We have used Waste Management for many of our dumpster needs. With all of our real estate acquisitions in the neighborhood, they have been helpful with quick delivery and pick up of the dumpsters. Their service is incredible and the prices have been reasonable in the past. I would recommend getting some type of cover (tarp) for your dumpster, because in the wee hours of the nights and morning, you will come out to find that the community has decided to use your dumpster for their needs and it's a bit irritating when you have a huge project to complete. Hi Neighbors - We again are having our monthly meeting this coming Thursday, 19 JUN 08, starting at 7:00 PM at St. Andrews, here in Highland Park on Hampton Street. Kelly Vitti will be running this month's meeting, as all the other Officers are out of town. We have Susan Rademacher, Park Curator for the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, scheduled to talk about this year's plans in regards to our local Park. We also shall have Ethan Winograd, Committee Person for the Reservoir of Jazz, there to talk about the upcoming schedule for this year's Presentations. The HPCC proudly sponsors the ROJ that uses the Park as a beautiful back drop for these concerts in the Park. I hope that you can make time in your schedule to come both to this meeting, as well as to enjoy these Sunday outings to the Park to enjoy both the setting and music. I know we are more likely to be talking about Heth's Run watershed on this list serve, but I am a long-time volunteer and board member for the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association.
