[Highland Park] yet another lost cat update

I just wanted to let everyone know that Stuey is still missing. I have posters all around the neighborhood with his picture but they are starting to fall off now. He is all black and around 10 or 12 pounds, very long and slim. His eyes are actually yellow and he doesn't have a collar. There have been a bunch of sitings on Cordova right by King Ave, but this cat is older and has an owner. This cat is long and slim, but he has a bunch of grey hairs, and Stuey hardly has any white hairs. There have also been numerous of sitings on the 900-1000 block of a small black cat, which I have no yet seen, but when I went to investigate and was asking around they said there was a black cat who lived in the backyard by the tatoo parlour and that cat was female and had kittens, so it's probably one of them, but you never know. The latest siting was this morning at Mellon and Wellsley in the backyard of a yelllow house by the dog grooming place, so if anyone is around that area please keep a look out. The person who called me said the cat was responsive when he called Stuey, so it's a possibility. Unfortunately I was at work, so I couldn't come and investigate. Friends and all of us around the parish and Highland Park neighborhood will be glad to hear that former St. Andrean and Highland Parker (Wayne Road) John Scott (grandson of the late Phil MacLachlan, also a St. Andrean and Highland Parker) was recently promoted to the rank of Colonel, U.S. Army, in a ceremony at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington, D.C. His mom and dad, our good friends Celinda and Barry, of Indiana, Pennsylvania, attended the ceremony and brought back a copy of the program, which I've posted on the bulletin board by the Parish Hall entry. Barry's present assignment is as pediatric cardiologist and as Medical Director of the Quality Management Division at Walter Reed. I know we all remember holding John --and of course Mette, and their kids Soren, Christoffer, and Sofie--so much in our prayers especially during his deployment to Iraq at the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. His awards include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal (with one oak leaf cluster), and the Army Commendation Medal (with one oak leaf cluster. He was also awarded the Hoff Memorial prize for clinical research and is a graduate of the AMEDD Oficer Advanced Course, and the Command and General Staff College. So: a prayer of thanksgiving at this time for John's service to our country, for his leadership in the care of our returning troops, and for the life and ministry he and his family have shared with us at St. Andrew's and in the neighborhood.
