[Highland Park] FOR SALE - Ikea Free-Standing Kitchen Cabinet

Hi Neighbors, I'm moving in a couple of weeks and must sell my great Ikea free-standing kitchen cabinet. The cabinet was purchased new at Ikea 4 years ago. The cabinet is still in great condition. Because of that, I'm asking a firm price of $250 for it (more than 25% off retail price). Please let me know if you're interested. Also--I need to sell the cabinet ASAP and you will need to move it. It's big, so you'll more than likely have to use a truck to move it. It might fit into a large SUV, though. Police have identified the victim as Edward Baur, of Sharpsburg. The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday and the victim died just before 2 a.m. in the hospital. According to their preliminary investigation, police say they believe that Baur was possibly shot at the intersection of Mellon Street and Wellesley Street. Authorities say police officers heard multiple shots fired while in the area of Mellon Street and Stanton Avenue and then saw a car traveling along Mellon Street. The vehicle came to a stop near Janero Street where police say Baur yelled for help. He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital for gunshot wounds to his right shoulder and left side and later died after undergoing surgery. Also, police say a child was found unharmed in the back seat of the vehicle. He was placed in the care of his mother. Investigators say no arrests have been made and anyone with information is being asked to call police at 412-323-7161.

We need a new screen/storm door and perhaps a new outside door. Of course, the dimensions are not square so "off the shelf" doors will not work. Any suggestions of carpenters or companies that do this kind of work? THANK YOU

Does anyone know where I would find an accredited summer school class for 8th Grade Language Arts? My child attended a parochial school, thus far not able to find schools that offer a summer school program, besides Shadyside Academy. I would appreciate any leads given. Thanks!

At approx 9.30p on Tuesday night, someone attempted to enter our home through our side door. My wife, in the kitchen, heard the noise of the doorknob turning and the door itself jerked against the deadbolt. She thought it was me arriving home from the ballgame. Our dog also perked up at the noise and was poised just inside the door. By the time she realized it was NOT me and looked out the windows, whoever it had gone. A police report was filed. An important reminder for all of us, especially during these warm summer night, to keep our doors closed and locked. [Highland Park] port-o-potty at the Farmhouse

Hello, I have been asking the city workers when the port-o-potty will be put in place at the Farmhouse for over two months now. I find it hard to believe with the T-ball, baseball, and playground that they missed installing this one on purpose. The city worker I spoke with today asked me to begin calling the "311" hotline. I would like to ask that all who use the farmhouse, place a quick call, as I am sure that the more complaints, the quicker it will be in place.
