[Highland Park] Friendly adorable 30lb terrier mix seeks loving home

Hi Neighbors! Meet Charlie. He is an adorable, sweet and loving mix of breeds that we assume to be anything from jack russel, pit or bull terrier, corgi and a few more thrown in. He is 3 years old, and we adopted him from his previous owner, who got him at the Animal Rescue League. Charlie is a great dog in many ways, but we believe he would be much better suited to living with a family or a couple who are both experienced dog owners and are home during some of the day--two things that my partner and I are not! Charlie has a great deal of separation anxiety and we would be glad to talk to you about how we have been dealing with it. He does learn quickly as long as you are good at repetition, and we took obedience classes at the Western PA Human Society together and he did very well with them. He knows basic commands, and he has come a long long way since we first met him and welcomed him into our home. Unfortunately though, we cannot continue to work with him--our time is limted and due to peronal issues I will be unable to give him the attention he needs into the future. Virtually silent, moves a ton of air, but doesn't quite fit in my small kitchen! [Highland Park] Environmental Charter School- Public Open Houses Begin Nov 10th Not Oct 14th

Hi everyone... Some incorrect information has been circulating about an open house at the Environmental Charter School and I wanted to make sure everyone who is interested has the correct info... Open Houses for potential new students and their families will be held on the following days: Wed, Nov 10th at 6pm Sat, Dec 4 at 10am Thurs, Jan 13 at 6pm Sat Jan 22 at 10am Enrollment for new students begins Nov 1 and runs through Feb 14. The lottery will be held on Feb 25. If you have any questions or would like to schedule a personal tour (if you can't make the open house dates) please call 412-247-7970. Please open the attachment to view the official poster. NOTE: There will be an Open House for existing ECS students and their families on Oct 14th (Kindergarten's is on the 19th). [Highland Park] New and Exciting Changed at Union Project!

Hello neighbors! Just in case you didn't see this week's edition of 'What's UP?' I wanted to make you aware of the new and exciting changes to the Union Project building. Due to recent funding from an anonymous foundation and the PA Historic Museum Committee, Union Project is now taking the opportunity to complete the replacement of our original slate roof and to clean and re-point our exterior stone. If you have walked by our building recently, you may have noticed scaffolding is up and changes are quickly being made to one of the exterior side-walls of the building. Using a detergent solution, Preferred Contracting Services has already begun removing the 100+ years of dirt to reveal the original light colored sand stone. Our building has long been a meeting place for the neighborhood, and a gateway for neighbors to come together to help share in our mission to connect, create, and celebrate. Building renovations at union project have historically been a way for people to come together and do just that; working together to maintain the grounds as a gift to the community. Current beautification efforts are being completed with the hope that our building will stand out as a brighter beacon for community members and passers by. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PICTURES!
