We were extremely happy with his work -- on time, on budget, friendly, professional, communicative, cleaned up every day, work looks great, plus he's truly a good human being. Evensong Sunday

We're all reminded that Sunday October 19 is a "Third Sunday of the Month," with Choral Evensong at 4:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Church, Hampton Street, Highland Park. Music scheduled for this beautiful and traditional Anglican service, following the order of the Book of Common Prayer of the Church of England (1662), includes this month an introit by Edward Bairstow, "Jesu, the Very Thought of Thee," and an anthem by William Harris, "Bring Us, O Lord." The canticles are sung from the Evening Service in A-flat Major by Basil Harwood. The Choir is the St. Andrew's Schola Cantorum, under the direction of Peter Luley, Organist and Choirmaster, and with our Associate Organist Ethan LaPlaca. Our Guest Preacher is the Rev. Canon John A. Macdonald. Propers for the service are for James of Jerusalem, Near Kinsman of Our Lord and First Bishop of Jerusalem. The service marks the formal conclusion of our "St. Andrew's Lecture Weekend," connecting the themes of our apostolic foundation to the call to mission in our own day.
