[Highland Park] Park Place Pub - Great Food for your Money!

I would like to tell my fellow Highland Parkers how good the food and service was at Park Place Pub last night. For $7.95 I had the largest, tastiest burger of my life - the "Artery Clogger." It's a 1/2 pound beef burger, crispy bacon, chili (seemed like pulled pork), tomato, lettuce, cheese and sour cream. All burgers also come w/ fries for that price. A friend had recommended the wings for their tastiness and size and we were not disappointed. These wings were huge! When you order a half dozen you don't just get six little drummies like most places; instead you get six *whole* wings (all three sections of the wing) covered in deliciousness (we had the buffalo sauce and it definitely hit the spot) for $7.95. Also, I have previously had the Hungry Man Burger and it is fantastic as well. It comes with a large amount of fresh avocado and sauteed mushrooms, among other things. Our server was great: she visited our table just when we needed something and otherwise left us to enjoy our food. Both times we have gone to PPP we have been impressed with the quantity and quality of the food for the price you pay. We think this is a real asset to the neighborhood and would love to see it busy in there on any night of the week! [Highland Park] Cat needs a home!

Howdy neighbors, In the midst of scouring the internets for an apartment with a garage in Highland Park, I learned that a friend, whose cat I was sitting last year, is looking for a home again. Not being in the place to sit again, I wanted to see if anyone in our neighborhood might be? I'm hoping we can find her a permanent home, as she's been quite the traveler over the years and is ready to settle down. [Highland Park] Language Camp

Hello, neighbors! I'd like to recommend to anyone with children in 2nd-9th grade who have an interest in learning a foreign language (French, Spanish, or German) that they look into Language Camp for next summer. My husband's eleven year-old daughter attended last week, had a fantastic time, and is eager to return next year. It offers the activities of most traditional summer camps with the element of learning a foreign language through emersion thrown into the mix - what a fun way to learn! We were so impressed with the facility, the staff, and the amount of knowledge she gained in her week there. Hello All, I wanted to thank everyone for coming to my sale this past weekend. It was a great turnout and most of the items sold. I have only three remaining items for sale before I depart on Thursday at noon. I have a brand new Serta twin mattress and box spring, a Char Broil Charcoal grill, and wheel barrel. The mattress has never been slept on. The grill is the larger barrel design that is also a smoker. I am including some side items with the grill such as a grill mat, cleaning brush and metal can to store your charcoal in. The wheel barrel is the two wheel design and is a Jackson contractor grade wheel barrel. These three remaining items are first come first serve before Thursday at noon with best offer accepted.
