Hello! So i just moved to Highland park (actually in August... where has the time gone!??) and I still do not have a dresser... (actually my room doesnt even have a closet!) and I am finally getting around to asking if anyone has a dresser or wardrobe they want to either donate or sell! I am in AmeriCorps so I really can't afford a very expensive one :( Hope I can get one of your hands! I would really appreciate it! Thanks! Rosamaria

Please join us for two hours full of fun, education, and cultural enrichment. This event is open to kids and adults. For the first hour, you will enjoy a presentation about Morocco. Zineb from Atlas Dreams Languages, LLC will talk about the traditions, the customs, and the culture of this exotic country. She will also teach you how to write your name in Arabic. During the second hour, Sandy, owner of Kiln-N-Time, will help you pick, paint, and personalize a pottery item of your choice (a mug, a plate, or a bowl). Here is a simple way to get rid of fruit flies: * Roll a business card into a cone with a small hole at the bottom and tape it like that. Tape it to hold the cone shape. The hole has to be big enough for flies to get through, but not much bigger. * Put a mix of honey, vinegar and a little red wine in the bottom of a small narrow-mouth bottle. Liquor stores sell single-serving bottles that work well. Contrary to popular wisdom, flies love vinegar just as much as they do honey. * Plug the business card cone in the top of the bottle, narrow side down. A little tape will hold it in place. Place it out of sight on the counter where you have flies. Fruit flies will crawl down the cone to get the bait, but cannot get back out again. When it is full or the fly problem is over, take out the cone, cap the bottle and throw it away. Put it in the freezer for a bit to make sure that nothing escapes while you cap it. We bring these out whenever the little flies appear and it works like a charm. cheers, Tim Feinstein

To remedy this situation, put a cup or more of bleach into each of your drains as well as in your floor drain in your basement in the evening before retiring to sleep. Hello Neighbors, I was wondering if any of you had any toys that an 8 year old boy would enjoy. We have a foster son and mostly girls toys since our boys out grew those kinds of toys I must have given them away. Now that the weather is not so nice for playing out side, we need more things to occupy him that are not electronic :) So if your sons have out grown any toys- I am thinking things like lego, or match box tracts , and you would like to get rid of them, or sell them for a reasonable price please let me know!
