On Sunday September 16th, Friendship, an "Elm Street" community, will open its doors to welcome guests to explore the beauty and vibrancy of it's neighborhood. Starting at the world class Pittsburgh Glass Center, located at 5472 Penn Avenue, guest will enjoy live music, tours and hot shop demonstrations. From there guests are invited to stroll along the tree lined streets or hop aboard the trolley for a guided tour ride to each of the ten homes, businesses and churches. Each tour destination will feature some interesting glass characteristic from beautiful stained glass windows to glass collections. And if you get a little hungry each home will also feature a "Garden or Porch Cafe"' where guests will sample small complimentary treats from area restaurants and generous neighbors. I advertised an Apple Keyboard, mouse, and Airport Express for sale. The keyboard and mouse are sold. I realized that many may not know what an Airport Express is. It's a personal Wi-Fi, wireless connection, that is excellent if you want to use a laptop anywhere within 150 feet of the tiny unit that fits in an electical outlet.(You can also take this unit with you when you travel.) I've used it everywhere in my three-story house and outside on the patio. It's also another level of security, because it has it's own security code that acts like an additional "firewall." Anyway, it works with both Mac and Pc. The price is $50 or 50% of the original and current cost. I'm also offering a 30-day guarantee, because I know it'll work well for a long time. Hello: parents who never have date night or people who need a day or two a week of childcare, I have moved back to the Burg and am looking to care for children in your home in Highland Park. I have raised two of my own, have nannied, taught preschool and many other ages as well. I can do many evenings also, but not Tuesday, Friday or Jewish Holidays. My only physical restriction is heavy lifting and that includes children. Hello, Animal Lovers, My name is Susie and I need your help! I am a mixed-breed terrier with a great personality, loads of brains and great desire to please. I am truly one of the cutest dogs you'll ever meet. Everyone says so...see for yourself! So what's the problem? Where do I begin? First, I live in a house with another dog who is the star of the show - Lady has been nice to me and all, but you can't imagine the pressure! She's beautiful and perfect in every way. You know, long legs, gorgeous hair, big tail. When we walk down the street together, I feel like chopped liver. It's way too stressful living in the shadow of a supermodel! On top of that, two cats live here too - Jack and Pecan. Now I know what you're thinking - what's the big deal? Well, I'm a bit ashamed to say but I have to be honest. I have a fondness for wrestling with cats. I know, I know, I should be able to control myself. I mean, it's been more than a year that I've lived with them, and even though they are bigger than I am, I just can't resist pouncing on them when they walk by. What can I say? I'm a terrier! I've been going to CatPouncer Anonymous meetings and my sponsor says abstinence is the only solution. So how am I going to abstain when Pecan walks past and flicks that big fluffy tail in my face? I tell you, it's like torture! I have to get out of this house! So what am I looking for? Not much, really. I'm not so hard to get along with. I'm good with kids. I'd love to share a home with a family, and maybe another dog who appreciates my playfulness and wants companionship.
