[Highland Park] Friendship House Tour, September 15th!
On Sunday September 16th, Friendship, an "Elm Street" community, will open its doors to welcome guests to explore the beauty and vibrancy of it's neighborhood. Starting at the world class Pittsburgh Glass Center, located at 5472 Penn Avenue, guest will enjoy live music, tours and hot shop demonstrations. From there guests are invited to stroll along the tree lined streets or hop aboard the trolley for a guided tour ride to each of the ten homes, businesses and churches. Each tour destination will feature some interesting glass characteristic from beautiful stained glass windows to glass collections. And if you get a little hungry each home will also feature a "Garden or Porch Cafe"' where guests will sample small complimentary treats from area restaurants and generous neighbors. As an added bonus each tour ticket includes a chance to win a great gift basket with goodies and gift certificates to be raffled off at the end of the tour.
