Hi I posted this a few months ago, but now that our little one has arrived we have a better idea of the child care that we need. We are looking for someone who can watch our newborn starting January 2nd (he will be 4months by then). Since I work from home, the ideal situation would be someone who can come to our home. However, I am also open to someone who has a licensed daycare in their home or if there is a daycare in the area that offers part-time hours. We need someone who is available from 10am-2pm during the week. References will be required. We are also looking for someone who can babysit occasionally in the evenings and on the weekends. Hello neighbors, A few weeks/months ago, someone very helpful posted information on how to turn a closet into a safe by removing the door hinges ??? I'd like to do this, and of course, I thought I'd saved the email, but now cannot find it. I tried searching the web first and the archives, but no luck. Can that helpful person repost? Hi All, If there's any chance that you're not busy Thursday night and would like to support the children's music programs at Dillworth and Rogers CAPA Middle School, please come to this concert. The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is coming to East Liberty ! The PSO will present a Community Engagement Concert at Peabody High School Auditorium on Thursday, October 25th, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. PSO Resident Conductor Daniel Meyer will conduct. All ticket proceeds from the concert will stay in the East Liberty Area Community, benefiting music education initiatives. Tickets for adults are $10 in advance or $15 at the door. I have some large wood stumps that I just cut that I was giving away and was contacted by someone from CMU. I lost the email somehow and wanted to donate them to the college. Hope to hear back from that person or someone that knows how to go about donating this cedar-wood. [Highland Park] Harvest Party

Hello neighbors! As some of you may already know, we are now beginning preparations for this year's Harvest Party which will be held on November 10 from 12:30 - 2:30 at the Farmhouse playground! We will (as always) depend on the neighborhood to make this event a success so... Please check your calendars and mark the date to come with your families and have fun! [Highland Park] Houses of Worship Architectural Tour

Hallo Neighbors! I just wanted to bring to your attention a fabulous event coming up on *Sunday, November 4th*. Each year, East End Cooperative Ministry hosts a *Houses of Worship Architectural Tour* that highlights some of the architectural delights present in our local congregations. This year, the Tour includes the Church of the Ascension, First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh, Community of Reconciliation in Oakland, and Heinz Chapel. The Tour also includes an optional visit to the Babcock Room on the 40th floor of the Cathedral of Learning and ends with a reception at Cathedral Views Gallery in Alumni Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. Docents will be available at each location to discuss the history of the congregation as well as to spotlight the architectural features of the building. Tickets for the event are $25 and all proceeds benefit the great work done by EECM in the areas of Hunger, Housing, and Children & Youth. As you may have suspected, I am a biased reporter -- I work for EECM and I'm hoping to spread the word about this great event. So, to recap...
