[Highland Park] Houses of Worship Architectural Tour
Hallo Neighbors! I just wanted to bring to your attention a fabulous event coming up on *Sunday, November 4th*. Each year, East End Cooperative Ministry hosts a *Houses of Worship Architectural Tour* that highlights some of the architectural delights present in our local congregations. This year, the Tour includes the Church of the Ascension, First Baptist Church of Pittsburgh, Community of Reconciliation in Oakland, and Heinz Chapel. The Tour also includes an optional visit to the Babcock Room on the 40th floor of the Cathedral of Learning and ends with a reception at Cathedral Views Gallery in Alumni Hall at the University of Pittsburgh. Docents will be available at each location to discuss the history of the congregation as well as to spotlight the architectural features of the building. Tickets for the event are $25 and all proceeds benefit the great work done by EECM in the areas of Hunger, Housing, and Children & Youth. As you may have suspected, I am a biased reporter -- I work for EECM and I'm hoping to spread the word about this great event. So, to recap... Sunday, November 4 1pm -- 5pm Houses of Worship Architectural Tour For more information, visit the EECM website (www.eecm.org) or call the office at 412-361-5549. It really should be a great day.
