Hello! I am making the rounds of thrift stores looking for gently worn furniture or furniture to "rehab" for my son's apt. So I thought that I would ask around the neighborhood. We are looking for a dining table and chairs, and living room type furniture. If you have any that might fit the bill, and want to either give to a good cause, "my son" or charge him a small fee, we are willing to see if it will fit the need and take it off your hands. Union Project has been considering renting our bell tower to cell phone companies, although I'm not sure if it's a lucrative site for them yet. Having replaced battery and then cell phone I continue to have problems with poor Verizon signal, dropped calls, inability to complete a call from home...1200 block of Sheridan. Today a call to Verizon support at 1-800-922-0204 finally got a person who is "writing a ticket for someone to come by and check the signal". This is supposed to be completed within the next 24 hours...by Wed. afternoon. Do others in Highland Park have a similar problem receiving Verizon's signal? I have Cingular, and the service here on N. Euclid is very bad. I am in the 1100 block, and could never keep a conversation on my phone. I think it's just a bad area for cell phone use. Ricardo

I live on N. St. Clair near Bryant. I have had Sprint service for over 5 years and have never had a problem. However, I used to carry a cell for work (Verizon) and I always had problems with that service - I could rarely complete even a short call without getting disconnected - even from my third floor! Claudette
