I would like to invite Highland Park and surrounding areas residents to an Obama Fund-raiser this Thursday at AVA's at 126 S. Highland Avenue, East Liberty. The fund-raiser is from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and will feature music, refreshments and poetic expressions. This being the night of the vice-Presidential debate, there will be a viewing of the debate in AVA's Blue Room on large screen TV at 9:00. I'm going to take Barton's advice and post some particulars on our bike that was taken from the Parklane Apartments. It is a Scott SUB (sport utility bike)...silver with a Topeak rear rack, hand pump, H20 holder, single LED headlight, double walled aluminum rims and answers to the name Beau. It's only 2 years old and in great shape. Thanks! On Sat. night around 11:30 pm, my husband and I found a VCR on our front lawn on Jackson Street. Strange. We aren't sure if it works and was stolen and ditched, or just picked up from the trash somewhere and redeposited on our lawn.
