Hello Neighbors, I have a Little Tykes easel to give away. It works perfectly well and has those great detachable paint trays and clip for hanging your current work of art. One side is a chalkboard. Bittersweet - my children have grown out of it. It does have some dried paint and scratches on the surface but still works just fine. Please let me know if you would like it. Office of Councilman Patrick Dowd, October 2009 New Legislation G20 Fact-Finding Committee. With the G20 behind us, Councilman Dowd has successfully called for a committee <http://legistar.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/detailreport/?key=12154> to review and gather information about the decisions made to host the G-20 and the costs associated with the event. The committee will produce an archive of documents for Pittsburgh and other cities to use in the future. News and Updates Tax Relief for Seniors! After many months on hold, Councilman Dowd's legislation simplifying the tax relief process for seniors has passed. Now, seniors only have to apply to the program once and the application form will be similar to the one used by Allegheny County. Cleaning up Car Lots. Councilman Dowd's legislation <http://legistar.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/detailreport/?key=12056> to improve screening and landscaping requirements for car lots was approved by the Planning Commission. Some large scale developments do not always require public notice. This technical amendment <http://legistar.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/detailreport/?key=12054> to the zoning code introduced by Councilman Dowd ensures that so-called "Planned Unit Developments" that have been on the shelf for more than 10 years notify adjacent property owners of any development applications. Hi all! I recently moved back to Highland Park and do not have room for my treadmill. It is a Pacemaster Pro-Plus, has been used for only two years, and works like a charm. It tells you calories burned, mph, and a few other things. I was starting the price at $200, which is great for this treadmill because its brand new price is over $1,000. [Highland Park] bike stolen, sentimental value!

I returned from a trip this afternoon to discover my bike had been stolen, from my back yard. This could have happened anytime yesterday from 11am on. I have called the police in order to submit a stolen bicycle report, but what I really want is my bike back! The bike is a purple, Giant Yukon that was given to me when I graduated from high school by my sisters. It is an older bike (14 years old) and in rough shape, so it's not worth very much. It has tremendous sentimental value. Please open the attachment to see the picture. I realize this may be a pipe dream, but I'd really like my bike back. If it is returned to me (at 523 Collins Ave), I will not press charges. If you see anyone with it, and you feel comfortable, please confiscate it and bring it back to me. Hi neighbors, I on the board of Green Burial Pittsburgh. Please consider the following: Green Burial Pittsburgh (GBP) plans to "establish and operate woodland or meadowland green burial or natural burial cemeteries in or near Pittsburgh that offer natural burial exclusively. Green burial or natural burial means no toxic chemical embalming fluids or concrete burial vaults or grave liners are used. Caskets or shrouds are made of biodegradable and renewable materials. The body is buried less deeply than in traditional burial, so it nourishes plant growth as it decomposes. Grave markers are either native stones, laid flat on the ground, or native plants such as shrubs or trees. GBP is currently in the "start-up" phase and needs funding for the acquisition of real property and organizational costs. Specifically, GBP is negotiating with several interested land-owners in the southwestern Pennsylvania region for the acquisition or use of that land for a legal burial site. Hi! We have just sold our home and need to be out of the house by the end of October. We are looking for a 2 br. apartment in the east end/highland park area. We do have a small dog, mini-schnauzer. Our wish list includes off-street parking, laundry in bldg., updated kitchen with microwave and dishwasher. We are also looking for a month to month lease or 6 mos. lease if at all possible.
