Hello Everyone, I just want to make sure as many people as possible know about this. And you don't want to find out afterwards! If you are in need of electronics disposal and want to make sure it is done in an environmentally proper way, at no cost to you, look no further. The Wilkins School Community Center in Regent Square and Goodwill Industries will have a collections site at the Center (7604 Charleston Ave) from 10am until 2pm on Saturday Oct 10th. Goodwill guarantees all parts and pieces are reused if possible, or sold for scrap, or properly disposed of. Hard Drives can be destroyed at your request. Nothing is shipped overseas, nothing is illegally dumped. This program enables Goodwill to employ those with disabilities and provide them with a supportive work environment. In addition Donate bikes you've been meaning to get rid of to Free Ride, and attend a bike workshop

Hi all, With the recent birth of our daughter, I thought I'd ask the Highland Park listerv a couple of questions: 1). Does anyone have a good glider/rocker they're looking to sell? My wife and I are at our wit's end trying to find something for our daughter's nursery (preferably something basic with a high back). 2). Does anyone have recommendations for someone who would do a fall yard clean-up (raking leaves, tackling our ridiculously overgrown hedge, a last mow, etc.)? Thanks! Mark your calendars for Saturday November 7th. Come volunteer to help make Highland Park Beautiful. TreeVitalize Pittsburgh has awarded Highland Park and East Liberty 60 street trees to plant on Stanton Avenue between N. Highland and Negley Avenues. The trees are free, but our community needs to plant them. We will meet at 9 am on the corner of Stanton Ave. and Portland St. on November 7th (rain or shine). hi neighbors- i had a temporarily debilitating accident falling down the hill on the jackson st. side of the ball park behind the farmouse. some nice people help me get back on my feet helped regain my senses and gave me and my dog a ride home. i didn't realize til sometime afterward i had lost my glasses in the fall. i couldn't find themi. the approxmate location is not to far from the ;i;;ntersection of jackson and farmouse rd. maybe 20 feet or more up from sojakson st., or if look up at ballfield ;the;y're somewhere of the farmhouse road side if you're looking up at the stands ;by the field. if you're under 20 or so or if you just need the money i'd be happy to offer $25 reward. please email or call rich; allen at 365-2114. thanks, rich

All, -Free Powerhouse Olympic Bench- PHC 1955. (See attachment for illustration.) Purchased in '03....never been assembled and therefore never been used. We can't guarantee that all parts are there, but the parts have been stored in one location, so there is a good chance that they are all there. Off the Floor Pittsburgh is a volunteer based organization started in 2004. It provides basic used furniture like beds, dressers, tables, and chairs to the neediest families in Pittsburgh who lack these items and are literally living on the floor of their homes (PG article). Off the Floor's supply of donated furniture is critically low as the holidays approach and they're swinging open their doors on Saturday, October 17th from 9 am to 1 pm, to remedy this situation and replenish their stock. Refreshments will be provided along with tax-deductible receipts. Off the Floor's warehouse is located at the Pittsburgh Presbytery, 901 Allegheny Ave (near Heinz Field).
