Hi neighbors, Does anyone know of a good and inexpensive computer repair person? I have a laptop that has some issues around the plug where the power cord connects. [Highland Park] Update on recent burglaries

The HPCC held its monthly meeting with one of the guest speakers being Zone 5 Police Commander Timothy O'Connor in attendance. The Commander informed us of the developments the Zone 5 police have made in the recent burglaries in our neighborhood. Commander O'Connor informed us of the increase in uniformed patrols and directed patrols that are taking place in our neighborhood at arbitrary times throughout the day and night. He also informed us that they have identified the group of juveniles responsible for the recent burglaries and are in the process of piecing together evidence to obtained arrest warrants in these cases. We are all urged to continue to be vigilant and call 911 for any suspicious behavior that we observe in our neighborhood.

Fulton Garden Update Thank you to the volunteers that have begun the garden rejuvenation at Fulton Elementary School at 5799 Hampton St. All are welcome - whether or not you're a gardener (I'm not) - to dig in and help as much as you want. I'm not taking attendance, there is no detention or grading, and no notes home to parents. So come on out and bring your favorite shovel. Next we will be fostering along some of the plants that we want to keep, including thinning the bearded irises that have taken over a full corner of the yard. See you on Tuesday of next week at 6p.
