Tree Pittsburgh staff has noticed many trees struggling from the hot dry conditions. These symptoms include wilting, browning of leaves and early leaf drop. This usually doesn't occur until mid to late July. *How to Water* Water slowly and deeply--do not turn the hose on full blast. You can use a 5 gallon bucket with holes in the bottom to slowly water, turn your hose on a slow stream and place it in the tree pit, or use a gator bag like the one you see in the photo. Watering your trees now will help to ensure you enjoy cooling shade in the future! [Highland Park] Two Male Guinea Pigs

Hey All, I am looking for a good home for two male guinea pigs. I purchased them from a pet store in March. We have figured out that they are causing myself and my daughter some allergies so we have to find a new home for them. I have everything for them including a cage with a stage, food and water container, food, treats, hay and bedding. I would like a $50 rehousing fee because it cost nearly $200 to buy them and all supplies, but would be willing to negotiate this. They are very friendly with me and my three year old daughter and have never bit or been aggressive with us. Please let me know if you are interested I have pictures I can send. Thanks! Annie

It's a little quirky: it creaks a little bit if not positioned just so (especially for an older/heavier baby) and only really has one speed, regardless of which setting you put it on. [Highland Park] New Parking Authority "pay by license plate" meters

You may have heard that the Pittsburgh Parking Authority will be replacing some coin-only meters with multi-space machines by the end of this summer. The first wave of new meters will by placed in areas with more expensive parking, such as Downtown and Oakland.
