Saturday 9am until Sunday at 9pm In a box by the sidewalk at 745 N Beatty St, 15206 Random odds and ends that may be of use.. bags that came with tools, containers, clamp lights, and an office chair. Please leave everything in the box when you're finished looking. Other items may be added throughout the weekend, and leftovers will go to Goodwill on Monday. Thanks!

Hello neighbors, Any advise on the upcoming PWSA water line pipe replacement in the neighborhood and signing the contracts that were sent to our homes. I'm happy to have the lead pipes removed, but i'm confused as to how much damage could occur during this work and my financial responsibility for construction mishaps .All input appreciated. New exercise equipment in the park

Hello Neighbors, As many you have seen, the city is providing new exercise stations in the park along Reservoir Drive. The sites were chosen to space them out and provide for easy access from the path. However, after concerns were raised about the site between the park entrance and the intersection of Farmhouse Drive, the HPCC reached out to Public Works. The team there was very responsive and apologized for not engaging the community sooner. They agreed not to place any equipment in that stretch and instead add another site closer to the Super Playground. Note that the specifics of the new location are still being worked out and depending on what's decided, the installation of that equipment may be delayed because of the bridge stonework currently stored in that area. Public Works and the HPCC are now in regular contact about the installation of the equipment. * If you have any additional questions or concerns, Public Works has requested that you send them to us and so that we can act as a liaison between them and the community.* Your feedback is definitely important, but it is easier for them to efficiently and effectively address concerns when they can work directly with a single organization. The HPCC has a long history of working with city agencies as part of our mission so this is not a new role for us. Highland Park - upcoming closure of Reservoir Drive

The park has seen a significant increase in use as people respond to the restrictions in place to address the Covid-19 pandemic. To provide more space for walkers and cyclists so that they can be safe on the road and maintain social distancing, the city will be closing Reservoir Drive, likely beginning June 10th. The HPCC participated in a meeting with City Planning, Public Works, PWSA, DOMI, Zone 5 (Pgh PD), the PPC, and Bike Pittsburgh to develop a plan that would best meet the needs of the park users while accommodating Public Works, PWSA, and emergency vehicles. There will be a formal announcement and map released soon, but I wanted to provide this update so that people are aware that these changes will be going into effect. There is a draft map attached. The main park entrance on Highland Ave. will be converted to a small traffic roundabout open for drop-offs only; no parking will be allowed here. Farmhouse Drive to Reservoir Drive will be open only to allow access for vehicles with handicapped parking placards to park in the lot off the intersection of Reservoir Drive and Farmhouse Drive; no parking will be allowed on that section of Farmhouse Drive. No street parking will be allowed on Bunker Hill Extension along the park. The various city agencies will be putting up physical barriers and signage, and restriping the road. Burley Honey Bee Kid's Bike Trailer

I have a used Burley Honey Bee Kid's Bike trailer for sale. Purchased it from someone on this list back in 2013. Original seller said that it was from 2009. This model can convert to a stroller, fits one or two kids, has a screen and rain cover that you can use (or not) to protect your cargo, and comes with two hitch attachments (so you and your partner can easily take turns hauling the young ones ;-) ). Also throwing in a safety flag (not the original) if you want it. The 2020 version retails for 400 new. I'm asking for $120, or best offer. The thing can probably be squeezed into the back of a car, depending on what you drive. But i'll make sure there's air in the tires so you can pull it home if you want to bike over for it....
