Hi Neighbors! Did you know that Pittsburgh Public Schools operates the only public Montessori elementary school in the state of Pennsylvania? This is an amazing public school and we are lucky to have it in our district! PPS Montessori is located in Friendship and serves students in Pre-K (starting at age 3) through Grade 5. Prospective families are invited to come tour PPS Montessori in February - join us on any Friday morning at 10 am. See attached flyer for more details about the tours! FYI, about Applying: Admission for 3 and 4 year olds is done through the PPS Early Childhood Education Program Enrollment Lottery. The application just went online and will be up through March - https://www.pghschools.org/Page/4971 Pre-K students at Montessori continue into the school as K students. Students can also apply to begin at Montessori in grades K through 5, and are accepted as space permits through the PPS Magnet Office Lottery each fall.
