Friends and Neighbors, As our kids have grown up we have sold or given away nearly all of their old toys, clothes, cribs, pack'n'play, and so on. We have held onto heirloom items and a few sentimental things. For some reason, we could not let go of this crib. We bought it for our youngest child to use as a bassinet. Since we knew her life would be full of hand-me-downs, we wanted to start her off with a beautiful place to sleep that was all her own. Of course, she only wanted to cuddle in bed with mom & dad, so the lovely mini-crib saw very little use. She is now 14 years old, so I think its unlikely she will use it again. Howdy Folks, Please come by on Saturday March 2nd to help us raise money for the leukemia lymphoma society. 2 very nice young ladies from the neighborhood are raising money for the cause, so I thought I would help. Choral Evensong for this Thursday in the Fourth Week of Epiphany, observing the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord in the Temple (Feb. 2), will be offered at St. Andrew's Highland Park at 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 7, with the St. Andrew's Parish Choir. A recital follows featuring Evgeny Taimanov, clarinet, and Linda Morgan Ellison, piano. Join us for a festive midwinter reception in Brooks Hall after the recital!
