That's really disappointing news. I need to highly recommend Matt Mertz plumbing once again. He was absolutely wonderful to work with! His work is top notch. He didn't charge me any more than his original estimate-even when we hit a few bumps along the way. I would encourage anyone needing sewer repairs to use him. Nanny Share

Dear All, I'm hoping to set up a full-time nanny share for my daughter (currently 1.5years old) to begin in September when her older brother heads off to school. Ideally, I'd like to partner with a family who needs full-time care (Monday - Friday 8am-5pm or so) for 1 child. OR, another option is to partner with a family who needs full day care on Tuesday and Thursdays only (my daughter can go to a daycare MWF). Our preferences are to work with a nanny who will take the kids to museums, the library, Toy Lending Library, etc. There are, of course, many details that will need to be discussed, but let me leave this as is and if it sounds good to anyone, we'll take it from there. Fundraising Yard Sale on Sunday - Winterton St.!

During the Great Highland Park Yard Sale on Sunday, I'll be holding a yard sale to clear out stuff AND raise funds for the Pittsburgh Curling Club's building fund. (We are clearly relegated to being the second-most popular ice sport in the 'burgh these days, but that's fine by me). 1128 Winterton St. (different location from last year if you stopped by our sale then) there will be a pretty random assortment of random items for sale including: - women's bicycle (hybrid, perfect for gravel bike trails, small frame - I'm short) - bicycle trailer/jogging stroller (schwinn brand I believe) - vintage kenmore sewing machine in a wooden sewing table (not sure if it works - 60s era) - new white subway tile - probably enough for a backsplash - men's dress/collared shirts in sizes S/M in good condition (perfect for a new grad with an offie job) - several pairs of men's carhartts duck work pants (slim cut, would fit size 30 or so) - and lots and lots of odds and ends!
