The Pittsburgh Society of Artists (PSA) welcomes regional artists to a new member screening Sunday March 16th, 2014. Pittsburgh Center for the Arts Simmons Hall 6300 Fifth Avenue Pittsburgh, PA 15232 Drop off time: 12:30 to 1:00 PM and pick up from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Applicants must demonstrate consistent artistry, the most decisive factor in judging candidates for membership. Consistency is best demonstrated by submitting three works (2D or 3D) in the same medium. For full guidelines for screening see our website www.pittsburghsocietyofartists.org <http://www.pittsburghsocietyofartists.org/> Present three (3) gallery ready (framed and wired) pieces of art completed within the last two years and not under direct instruction. Both two or three-dimensional pieces are acceptable. PSA today consists of more than 300 artist members who live within a 150-mile radius of Pittsburgh and are creators who use all varieties of visual arts media. PSA was officially chartered in 1967. PSA Mission Statement reads: Pittsburgh Society of Artists is dedicated to the vitality and growth of the visual arts in the Pittsburgh area. Hi neighbors, A couple of months ago, we purchased a Rocketfish tilt TV mount (see link below) from Best Buy that does not work for our space. In search of your old, unloved sheets! Maybe you are looking to clean house. Maybe you are looking to donate some to the Goodwill. Maybe you think they would better off burned. Send them over my way! I am looking for sheets to hang in my classroom during upcoming testing that requires our walls to be free from all words or visual aids.
