Obama's spring musical is The Wiz and we're on the hunt for a few items I'm hoping our neighbors may have in their basement or garage or craft room: 1. lightweight, wooden screen door - not looking for perfection or even a working door, just a prop 2. mailbox - can be rusty, old, etc. 3. Shutters a couple sets 4. Large old ornate armchair (lightweight) 5. Castor wheels - we need many of these 6. scare crows - any size and material 7. green and yellow craft items (feathers, pom poms, streamers, etc) for the emerald city decor 8. Huge sunflowers (silk, cloth, etc) 9. Lightweight oversized trunk We are on a tight budget, but could come up with some payment if needed and I'll be happy to pick up anything. Lastly, we cannot return any items - they may be painted, decorated, attached, and sadly, even lost in the whirlwind. Thanks so much and the show dates are: April 24 - 26 and May 1 - 3. Ash Wednesday Services, including the Prayer Book Liturgy, the Imposition of Ashes, and Holy Communion, will be offered at St. Andrew's, Highland Park, this Wednesday, March 5th, at 7:15 a.m. in the Chapel and in the Church at 12 noon and 8 p.m. All are welcome, as we are invited to begin a holy season of prayer and reflection.
