The joys of home ownership!!! This recent downpour exposed a major leak in our retaining wall, and I'm looking for someone to give an estimate for this. The email below was just forwarded to me from Senator Ferlo's office. It is concerning a scam that has been happening in local Pittsburgh neighborhoods. "Just had someone from Honeywell Select Security System come to my door to do "an upgrade on my security system." He tried to make it seem like he was with my security company and my hardware needed to be upgraded. When I asked him why I had not been notified for an appointment, he showed me the BBB page for my company and said they were bad and that he was an independent contractor for the hardware and asked how old my system was. After more questions, he then said I was not eligible for an upgrade. Essentially he is going door to door trying to scam his way into houses and then trying to sell a new system. Let your neighbors know that are not on Next Door to not let him into their houses."
