[Highland Park] Desk - price reduced!

Hello neighbors, Our desk is still available, but we've reduced our cost - $you haul! Please email me if you're interested, and we'll schedule a time to meet so you can pick it up. It's in decent shape - the left bottom drawers are actually a file drawer, and it has pull-out work stations on both sides. Two glitches - one drawer is missing a handle (can still open, but not as easily - can be replaced) and the two drawers on the top left don't open (we're not sure why - someone smarter than I may be able to figure that one out). Dear Neighbors I hope everyone enjoyed the Yard Sale and Bryant Street Festival. If you have yard sale items that you did not sell, you can keep them out of the landfill and out of your basement by donating to the following places: GOODWILL accepts clothes, housewares and small furniture. They are on Penn Circle South and accept donations on weekdays from 11 am to 6 pm and there are some weekend hours too. http://www.goodwillswpa.org/goodwill-stores CONSTRUCTION JUNCTION accepts building materials, house fixtures, furniture, yard items. [Highland Park] Vehicle ads, part 2

The seller in question contacted me to relate that both he and the vehicle are located in Pittsburgh, that the out-of-state plates are because he moved here recently, and that the lack of an address where the car can be seen is because of personal privacy concerns. My advice about not buying from distant "sellers" who mysteriously choose Pittsburgh as an ad venue stands, but this particular guy is not one of them, and he sounds legit. Just wanted to clear that up, and to apologize publicly for raising doubts about his ad. Back to your regularly scheduled programming! Charles

[Highland Park] Mama cat...

So, we found homes for all the kittens, but the owners decided that they didn't want Mama back. Apparently, while we were fostering her and her kittens, paying for their care and food, etc., the owners decided to get another cat. So, now we have a beautiful Mama available. She is fixed, has her shots, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She'll need someone who's patient with her, because she's been through a lot of changes and is kind of stressed out right now. She's affectionate and sweet once she's used to you and feels secure. She hasn't seemed to mind any of our cats coming around her. She ignores them, even letting them approach her and eat food out of her bowl. She's somewhere around a year old. She's very beautiful and I wish we could keep her, but our own cats have several medical issues and we just don't have the wherewithal to take on another permanent animal.
