Highland Park - "Gala Workday" Time: Saturday, June 8, 2013 - 10:00 Location: Meet at the the gravel parking lot off Washington Blvd near the intersection with Allegheny Blvd. Join Pittsburgh Trails Advocacy Group (PTAG) for a "Gala Workday" in Highland Park Saturday, June 8, 2013! We will be building some new trail, pruning and hauling rocks but we'll mostly be working in or near the old dump section of the park so most of our work will be trash removal. Gloves and some tools will be provided but please bring your favorite pair of gloves and pruning tools if you have them. It is recommended to wear sturdy boots, long pants. Eye protection is encouraged. To reduce waste, please carry your own water bottle. Water to fill your water bottle will be provided. There will be many different jobs for all ages. Food & drink will be provided as well! Please help by volunteering your time to enhance the beauty of this 380 acre city park. Strengthen your bonds with other like-minded individuals and families in your community. Afterwards, enjoy an outdoor activity on the multi-use trails with your fellow volunteers. Become a Member! These are great for businesses to change out items that are changed regularly, or for homes, with kid projects that again change out. A) 2 @ 24" x 30" B) 1 @ 14" x 74" (6'2") These are for a small project, or the be used as general lumber: 2) One 24" x 92.5" (7'8.5") x .75" wood table/desk top, with one side laminated. Join the Pittsburgh School for the Choral Arts (formerly Oakland Girls Choir) this summer for Children of the World Choral & Arts Camp! Taking place at the Church of the Ascension (4729 Ellsworth Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213), this fun summer camp is for girls going into grades 1 through 6. The summer camp lasts one week, and each day focuses on a different culture from around the world. Students learn music from this culture, and participate in making crafts and art focused on this culture. They spend time learning dance moves relevant to that culture, and eat foods from that part of the world. Each day’s theme is fully integrated into the program as we travel the globe from our classroom!
