We purchased this sleeper sofa from another HP resident earlier in the year, using it as a "stop gap" until the sofa we ordered arrived. We had plans of putting it in the rec room in our basement afterwards but, alas, it is just the tiniest bit too wide to go through the doorway. I am a fun, dependable middle-aged mom, formerly a teacher and pediatric home health care aid with 20+ years experience caring for newborns through adults. I have experience with several types of special needs, including verbal/nonverbal autism, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, ADHD and so on. I am certified in infant/child CPR/AED. I have my PA criminal records clearance and Childline clearance, as well as my FBI fingerprinting clearances. My vehicle is reliable, I am a non-smoker and I am pet friendly. I am also a good cook and baker and I am prepared to do light housekeeping and run errands. I am currently working at a before-school childcare program and plan to keep that job. However, my work is done by 9:00 a.m. and I am very interested in finding a position for later in the day and/or evening. I also have some weekend availability. I would prefer a long-term position where I could be part of the children’s lives for a few years. When I care for children, I focus on *them*. That means reading aloud, arts & crafts projects, games of dress-up, "helping" me cook and clean, homework help/supervision and trips to the park and zoo, transportation to after-school activities, hosting play dates, and so on.
