On Tuesday at 3:00pm I was walking my dog on Elgin and a man drove up with a large dog in the back (looked like a light colored golden retriever or great pyrenees?) looking for the dog's owner. The dog was friendly and appeared well cared for but had no tags. The man who found him is working construction on a house at 731 N. St Clair for the afternoon and will keep the dog there as long as he can before needing to call animal control. Hi neighbors,I am interested in joining/starting a book/discussion club. Ideally, it would be a monthly meeting, running after 9 pm (kids' bedtime for me). [Highland Park] Is this your cat?

This healthy looking cat has its claws. It came by last night and was very friendly. In the morning we saw it and gave it some food and water, which was gobbled down. Vicinity of Sheridan and Wellseley. I have more pics if this looks familiar. We have 2 indoor cats, so he has to stay outdoors.

We have a large japanese maple tree in our front yard and regularly find seedlings growing in our flower beds. Right now we have about six. If you'd like to try growing a tree from a seedling, please let me know and we'll coordinate digging. Bring your own container.

[Highland Park] Tree Problem

Hi Neighbors, I've had a lot of luck with previous requests so I'm hoping for some help. We have a tree in front of our home that is on city property. The tree has a large rusty looking scar on one of the larger branches and it drips a horrible smelling liquid onto the ground (and sometimes our cars) below. We have been submitting 311 requests for over a year to have the branch cut but the division of public works claims there is nothing wrong with the tree or branch.
