A black or very dark blue Corragio suit on a hanger was in the middle of Grafton Street this morning. It seems to be in good condition and after a half hour or so we collected it before it was run over (no tire tracks on it). It had apparently fallen off a vehicle. Hey, all. We finally trapped the kitty we were looking for. Though shy outside, she proved to be incredibly loving once we got her inside. She was clearly owned and well-loved, but she's been outside on her own for a while. (Based on how dirty she was, etc.) Unfortunately, upon inspection, it was clear that she had already had her kittens somewhere. We let her go again. We're still feeding her and providing her a nice, warm shelter (in hopes that she will decide tomove the kittens to our place, where we can socialize them). If this is your cat, or you know someone who lost a cat, please let us know. We'd love to re-unite her with her family. We'd also love to know that she and her kittens have a loving, protective human on her side. We were not able to check for a chip, since we didn't want her to leave her kittens alone for any longer. Ok, I'm taking a risk, given the current weather conditions, and getting rid of all my winter clothing!!! Hopefully that will be a sign that Spring is truly here!! Before I take these items to the consignment store, I am offering all my wonderful friends and neighbors the opportunity to refill your wardrobe at bargain-basement prices!!! All Shoes, $5/pr.: Most sizes are 8 to 8.5, with some 7.5 and 9. Lots of great brands: Clarks, Merrill, Dansko, Born, Bass, Dockers, etc. All are leather or suede, casual styles, some dress heels, boots, sandels. Some barely worn. All cotton sweaters, long sleeve rayon shirts, cotton turtlenecks, $5/each: Sizes are medium to large. Huge selection. Short and long skirts, wool pants, dresses, sizes range from 10 to 14, $5/each. Wool blazers/jackets, $15/ea.: Some great styles, yellow, black, red, blue, medium to large. Long black Bill Blass wool coat, says size 4 but I don't think that is accurate, more like 8 or 10, $50. Long black Evan Picone wool coat, size 10, $50. Maroon 3/4 length Etienne Aigner leather coat, size 14, $50. Vintage rabbit jacket, $35. Greetings Highland Park! As a participant in the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE) for the 2010-11 year, I would like to cordially extend an invitation to all to attend our annual celebration and fundraiser, PULSEations, which will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 from 6:30pm to 9pm in the Union Project (801 N Negley Ave). We are in need of bias tape - at least 1/2 inch, plus sturdy ribbon, such as grosgrain, and extra non-white pillowcases you might have.
