[Highland Park] Fence laws

My husband and I own a home in Highland Park and would like to build a wooden fence on the back side of our property. There is already a chain link fence where we want to build ours. I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a zoning process we need to go through to do this, or if it is different depending on if we replace the existing fence or build a new one next to the old one. Any thoughts or recommendations welcome. Thanks, Cara

...of dog poo, just because your dog poops in the park does not mean that you don't need to clean up after it! My neighbors and I walk our dogs every morning on the hill by the Farmhouse and every day we pick up piles and piles of dog poo that other people have left. Our parks are used not only by your dog, but by other people walking and hiking and running, kids playing, and other dogs romping. No one wants to get dog poop on them or navigate all those nasty land mines, so please remember that *the park is not your dog's personal toilet. *

[Highland Park] Marathon to support scholarship fund

Dear neighbors, On May 15th, I will be running the Pittsburgh Marathon, my second marathon to raise money for the Michael C. Snyder Memorial Fund, a scholarship established in memory of a dear friend whose life was taken too early seven years ago. Two scholarships are awarded each year to students in my home of Frederick County, Maryland - one for a student involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program (Michael was a dedicated Big Brother) and the other for a student planning on studying art or education. It's not too late to join us this afternoon at 5:30! *Adult Spanish Conversation Class*, geared for beginners *or* those with some Spanish language experience, meets in the board room on *Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 pm*,. The class will be primarily conversation-oriented; however, it will also include vocabulary introduction, pronunciation and grammar taught in context. I have a much loved and much played upright Weber piano. We are moving and don't want to have to move it again. Has the original ivory keys although a few are chipped. [Highland Park] Dog Problems

Please when you walk your dogs past others landscaping and/or lawns do not let then urinate on shrubbery! It kills them!!!!!!!!!! We have had to replace expensive bushes every year because of this issue. We have a little "no dogs permitted" sign to remind people but it does not seem to work for some. They think if it not solid waste that it is alright. When we have caught the people in the act we have spoken to the offenders but they act like we are being rude!
