[Highland Park] German Shephard owner

I am looking for help in locating a family that owns a German Shepherd and has a teenaged son. On Thursday, around 6 PM, I was walking my dog on leash by the farmhouse. A teenage boy on his bike, with his dog running behind him, came from the opposite direction. When they got to us, his dog, which was off leash, attacked my dog. The boy immediately jumped off his bike, tackled his dog and held him down so that we were able to leave the area. I did not think at the time that my dog had been injured or even to get the boy's name or information. After I got home I saw that my dog did have two gashes that needed a trip to the vet and did require medical attention. If you are the owner of this dog, or know the owner and could pass the information along to me, I would appreciate it. All I really remember about them is that it was a big, I'm fairly certain, German Shephard, and the boy was shirtless at the time, on a bike, had a little bit longer, but not long, wavy hair. I think he was very worried also and was very respectful. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thank-you.

[Highland Park] Playground horse

For those neighbors who have lived here for at least 20 years, you may remember the old playground at the Farmhouse. This horse and others lived there for a very long time until the city removed them to build the new playground. A truly valuable bit of HP memorabilia!! And very sturdy as well. Asking $100.

Hello Neighbors, I am selling my Gas powered Ryobi SS330 weed wacker since I have no real use for it. I bought this factory reconditioned from Ryobi 2 yrs ago and have used it probably only 5 times. I have no real need for it and hoped someone on this list might. This starts like a charm (just started it today in fact!) It comes with the manual and as you will see from the pics I also added the Monster Cutter to the head to use instead of the string, but I still have all of the pieces for the original unit for you to take as well if you want to put that back on and use the string. [Highland Park] Campaign for CAPA school

Dear neighbors, You might already know it because it has been in the news, but just in case you don't I will tell you. CAPA 6-12 school in Pittsburgh is one of the 6 finalists for the White House Commencement challenge this year, and the winner will have Obama giving the speech at Graduation. Lots of kids from Highland Park and the areas around it go to CAPA, and quite a few of them are graduating this year from there, including my daughter. Thus, I am asking you please to vote for CAPA for this event. You can vote from today till the 29th, at http://www.whitehouse.gov/commencement. Then Obama will choose between the three schools with more votes. More or less an "American Idol", but other kind. So.... Please vote for CAPA. It should be easy, just give it a 5, will you? Thanks!
