Greetings Neighbors, What a summer it has been. I hope that you had a wonderful time at the Reservoir of Jazz Concerts during the month of August. We are really proud of how smooth and successful this year went. We were lucky to have such beautiful weather, great line up, and a wonderful supportive neighborhood! We will soon being looking ahead for next season....on that note, please get the word out that we are always looking for sponsorship. It's truly hard to get a real number of how many folks flock to Highland Park each Sunday in August, but I can tell you they love coming and enjoy the free concerts! Let's work on keeping this tradition going. Contact me if you wish to talk. On another Note; I am proud to tell you all about a Jazz Launch that is happening starting this week at the new Fairmont Hotel downtown. Starting this Wednesday Sept. 8, from 5:30-8:30pm Jeff Grubbs bass, Daniel May piano, Thomas Wendt drums and I will be kicking off a four night per week jazz series featuring a different vocalist each night at Andys at Fairmont Pittsburgh. Andys in located in the hotel lobby-510 Market St, Pgh, Pa. Every Wed & Thrus (5:30-8:30pm), Fri & Sat (6:00-10:00pm). Parking is $6, after 4pm under the hotel! This is really exciting for the Burgh. For those of you who work downtown, please spread the word... If you have not been to Fairmont, you really must. It has a hip, relaxed vibe. "It's where Art meets Industry", Andys was named after Andy Warhol & Andrew Carnegie!
