Approximately 90- 100 years old from Eastern Europe, blown glass crystal chandelier. Not a reproduction. It is in near perfect condition considering it traveled from Europe to New York to Oklahoma to Pittsburgh!! Only one small break. A family heirloom that I must part with. It is currently hung in a hallway but in our family home it looked beautiful hanging over the dining room table. Asking $500 obo. Call if interested. [Highland Park] in need of foster homes for Cairn terriers

Hi, Many of you know that my husband and I foster Cairn Terriers (TOTO dogs) for CairnRescueUSA. We will be needing several foster homes for dogs being released from puppymills. Fostering is such a rewarding experience and the mill dogs are a joy to watch as they learn and grow. That is not to say that fostering is easy but each foster home is assigned a mentor who will help you with any questions or issues. You would not be alone. If you think you might be interested please email me and we can talk about it further. If we don't have any foster homes for these dogs being released there is truly no telling what might happen to them. Hello Neighbors, The bad news is that since New Years Day falls on a Saturday this year, we will be closed on Saturday January 1. The good news is that will be open on Friday, December 31st- New Years Eve. We are open from 5 am until 11 am. So please stop by for all your New Years needs. Due to the holidays, I did not get to talk to many of the famers this week. I did get a call from Sam Byler up at Riverview Dairy, and he is sending a fresh shipment of goat cheese and yogurt that will be available at the market on Friday. He also let me know that he has been aging some cheese and it will be available in January. He plans to make a personal visit to the market in January. I also got an email from Val at Kennedy Farm about the meat. Sounds like there will be lots of pork for New Years day and locally made sauerkraut. See her message below for more details. My daughter received a Glee Trivia Game for Christmas from a well-meaning aunt who saw that it was for ages 13+, but what she did not realize was that we have no TV and my daughter has therefore never seen the show. The cards were unwrapped from their plastic shell, but it is otherwise unused. It comes in a nice decorative tin. Free to a good home full of Glee fans! :-) --Emily King Ave

Hi friends, A little story.... I went to the store the other day to buy one of those kits to weatherize my windows. You know the kind. They look pretty bad (like you've covered your windows in saran wrap) but they really help keep the gas bill down! Anyway, I was shocked when I saw how expensive those kits were! So...I was thinking...does anyone want to go in on a kit with me? Or perhaps have some wrap left over that I could purchase? I have one large window to cover and that is all. Seems crazy to buy a whole kit just for the one window. Thought it would be worth asking my trusty neighborhood gang. :) Thanks! Taryn
