FYI: If you hire a "contractor" or a "handyman" they have to be EPA Certified and you MUST have a copy or the actual certification on site. If the "person/contractor/handyman" is NOT certified You AND THE "person/contractor/handyman" will be fined so that money you so wanted to save could cost you a years wages! Any "person/contractor/handyman" that is not certified will be turned in and checked on as soon as complaint is received. These un-certified "people" that give you that "cheap" price are putting you and your family at risk by spreading Lead & Asbestos dust/particles etc for you and your family to take in and are "killing" the industry and you for the companies that are COMPLETELY Certified that can't give the "scab-non-certified" prices. The trainings, the standards, the materials that ensure that you will be safe cost money which are not cheap. I hope this will enlighten those of you to what the standards are out there and being enforced. So, when you are looking for a $100.00 paint job it might cost you $1000's in the end and possibly your health. Greetings, I have 1 Pioneer Tuner / Power Amp ... and 1 Techniques Tuner / Power amp, that work ok but in need of cleaning to be perfect, because of some scratchy switches etc. ( Radio Shack Spray Tuner Cleaner would do it ) and 1 pair of Yamaha 2 way Stereo Speakers. hi everyone, someone broke into my car last night, breaking my left vent window. for those who are concerned with safety, the event took place last night (dec. 30th) on n. euclid ave., near hampton, afront of the church. i am thinking about parking somewhere else now. i am also looking to repair my window. the only quote i found was $180 from ryan's glass. does anyone know a better, i.e. cheaper, place? any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks, christine

[Highland Park] Computer monitor, TV and guitar for sale

I'm selling a HannSpree 22 inch computer monitor with 1680 x 1050 resolution (HD-level). It has built-in speakers and HDMI and VGA inputs. Lightly used and in great shape. The model number is HF229H. Asking $125. Also, I'm selling a 26-inch Philips Magnavox TV. It's a good TV, but it's not flatscreen or HD and I don't have the remote for it. I've always just used a universal remote. Model number on that one is 25TS56C121. Asking $30, but I'll listen to other offers. And finally, I'm still looking to sell my Yamaha acoustic-electric guitar; here are a few more details I didn't include last time: the model number is FGX 412SC. I bought it about ten years ago and it's been played quite a bit, but it's in good shape and sounds great on its own or plugged in. It has a sunburst finish with a few very minor nicks that you can't see unless you're up close looking for them. I'm asking $300 for it. Thanks!

[Highland Park] Concrete, Free-standing shelf, and Old Trunk Available

Hi! We're spending our New Year's Eve-Day cleaning out the basement! We have a few items that we would like to get rid of: 1) A bag of Kwikrete Concrete, that we bought for a project, but it was the wrong stuff so we didn't use it. Perfect for anchoring a swingset, among many other uses. FREE 2) A wooden shelf, unfinished, with hardware for hanging. I had this free-standing shelf hanging in a bathroom before we moved; there is no place for it here. FREE 3) Old trunk, with key. Black, makes a great coffee table, for the right home. We recently had to buy a new key for it (because we couldn't remember what was in it, and had lost the old one)--we'd like to ask $5 for the trunk and key, to re-coup our losses.
