Hi Neighbors, I am in need of some self-motivated labor help Thursday, Friday or Saturday this week to do some truly unglamorous tasks around the house: scrape front porch ceiling, clear out debris by garage, remove rust from handrails to prep for painting, perhaps break up some concrete. We haven't seen our cat, Zoey, since Monday morning (Aug.3). She is a smallish (7 lbs) toroiseshell/tabby , (brown, black, orange) with white "socks" and belly. We live in Morningside, 1653 Chislett St. Please call if you see her! She has a red collar and nametag. Thank, Judy 412-362-6204

Thanks to everyone who let me know the number to call: 311 I called this afternoon after I got home from work, but oddly enough, on my way home from the bus stop, I saw that a few of the potholes had been (rather sloppily) filled, while the majority were still there. Odd coincidence? They must have been filled just today because they weren't filled when I left this morning. I called nonetheless because if that's their idea of street repairs, it's a joke. Supposedly we are now on a waiting list. I will call again if nothing is done in the next month. Neepa Majumdar

Hi all - I've just had a cancellation for Labor Day weekend and the condo is available for Sept. 5 (Sat.) through Monday . Actually, it is available Tuesday night as well. It's a great location - right in town, off-street parking, walk to restaurants and stores, 4 blocks to the beach. I also have a stocked beach box-chairs umbrellas, toys-- at the entrance to the beach so people don't have to stuff down every day.
