Dear Neighbors, I am looking for some HP musicians who would play instrumental music for our Halloween costume parade on Oct. 31, 3:30 to 5 p.m. and also for our tree planting event on Saturday, November 7 at 9:00 a.m. to 11 or noon. Good afternoon. I seem to recall this discussed on this listserve a few times, but I cannot find this in the archives. I am looking to "shop" for a cheaper gas rate and "choose" a gas supplier that is more "green". How does one go about doing this? I seem to recall a universal web site to compare rates. Can anyone help? Please reply to me and I'll post replies to this email.... FINALLY, I am STILL trying to find a reliable person to shovel/snow plow my driveway when it snows in the winter. I would do this, but it is difficult to do when juggling our toddlers. I pay top dollar. Willing to invest in a teenager to earn extra money... Let me know. adam

Hi all, We had an extended family member move suddenly to Arizona. She left behind some items at our house and I'd like to offer them to neighbors before taking them down to the Goodwill. -- A few bags of women's clothing - size XL, pants seem to be size 17 or so -- style is casual and/or sportwear, a few summer dresses-- A child's car seat (her daughter is 9)-- Extra cans of Fresca-- A plastic hamper I might find some more things that I'll post, but I'm only hanging onto this stuff until Saturday around noon. Hello To All: This is a bit embarrassing but last summer I donated two wedding dresses to a women's shelter trying to raise money. I found out about it thru our wonderful email system and a woman from our neighborhood came and picked up the dresses. I have lost the receipt and cannot for the life of me remember the lady's name who came to get the items. So, if you are out there, could you please let me know if I can donate five pairs of boots and nine pairs of shoes (mostly suitable for work). Union Project introduces ceramics classes for young people after school and on Saturdays. Join us for fun, imaginative art-making! Sign up online at www.unionproject.org OR email studio(a)unionproject.org OR call 412-363-4550 ex22. * Squirt Clay Class* 6 Wednesdays, Oct 21-Nov 25, 4-6pm Students will explore the physical characteristics of clay and clay construction by making pinch pots, beads and medallions, decorative plates and bowls, and ceramic figures. They will learn how to integrate clay and fibers, practice the African tradition of Mangbetu Pressed Coils, and use additive and subtractive techniques to alter the surface of clay. This class is designed for children ages 5-8. Instructor: Cynthia Blackwell of the Pittsburgh Gifted Center. Cost $175. * Youth Clay Class * 3 Saturdays, Nov 7-21, 9-11 am Wouldn’t it be nice to keep the kids busy while you shop and clean for the holidays? Drop them off at Union Project for a three week ceramics class! Students will create wtih clay each week, and learn basic hand-building and sculpture techniques.
