Don't feeling like baking this holiday season. . . Come to the Sacred Heart Parish Cookie and Candy Walk! Over 40 different types of cookies and candies will be on sale this Sunday, December 7th from 9AM to 1:30PM in the Sacred Heart Elementary School's cafeteria (located on Emerson Street in Shadyside). You will be given a box(s) to fill with as many different types of cookies as you would like. Cookies will sell for $7.00 per pound. A variety of cookies will be sold including peanut butter blossoms, biscotti, toffee bars, rum balls, Neiman Marcus bars, chocolate chip, and almond crescents. JUST TO NAME A FEW!!! A variety of candies including chocolate covered pretzels, peanut clusters, peanut brittle, and chocolate covered popcorn will also be sold. We hope you will stop in and buy some delicious homemade treats. [Highland Park] hot water heater plumber advice

Can anyone recommend a plumber to install a hot water heater? I have gotten one quote from Johanssen Plumbing. The quote was 964.00 for the heater, one plumber and a helper working three hours. These plumbers worked on an apartment I lived in and I like them. Any other recommendations and does this quote seem reasonable? We are disposing of a 19 year old, 27 inch Sony Trintron, in fair working condition. The colors are starting to go, but it might make a good gaming TV for a teenager. And it might still be serviceable. Carl's TV service fixed the same color problem a few years back. It's free for anyone who wants it. But it is very heavy. *Sunday Childcare Position Available* Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church on the Northside seeks someone to provide Sunday morning childcare year-round from 10:00 to 11:45. From September through May, care would be provided in our nursery for children aged 18 months to five years. We generally have anywhere from one to six children in the nursery. From June through August, childcare might also include some older children up to age twelve. Activities might include crafts, videos, and games. We attempt to have a volunteer sign up to assist each week. Occasionally throughout the year, we need the childcare provider to stay longer to offer childcare during meetings, which again might include older children up to age twelve. Childcare is not needed on Sundays when we have intergenerational services, which generally happen five to six times throughout the year. We are looking for someone who has experience with children and is very reliable. Clearances are required. Pay is $26/week plus additional pay when additional time is required.
