Sorry about your packages. I was lucky enough to be home and within earshot of the doorbell when UPS came to my place yesterday. However, that same day (Friday, 12/19) I received a card from my mother with the envelope slit open on 2 sides. I called USPS 800# right away to report it. [Highland Park] community garden

Hi I am the Volunteer Coordinator for the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy Community Gardens and Greenspace Program. We have a Community Garden in your community; it is located at the Highland Park Bridge @ Butler St. I am sure most of you have driven by it and seen the magnificent flower display every season. We are looking for someone in the community to take on the job of garden steward for the garden. It could be an individual or a group, such as a boy or Girl Scout troop or a group of neighbors that like to garden. The job isn't very difficult, it mostly involves helping with the planting, weeding during the summer and help with the pull out in the fall. We do the mowing and watering. We have 140 gardens in and around Western Pennsylvania and they are all volunteer run. Please help me find someone to keep this garden looking good in Highland Park. [Highland Park] Electrician Recommendations?

I'm looking for a good, reliable* electrician who can do a moderately-sized job. The job will entail (1) putting up four lights in the ceiling of my garage, (2) rewiring a few of the two- and three-gang light switches in my kitchen and first- and second-floor hallway so that they'll take the old-fashioned button lights, (3) repairing a four-plug outlet in my basement which mysteriously stopped working one day, and (4) adding a two-plug outlet to one of my third-floor rooms. I already have the light fixtures for the garage and all of the button-switches; the only materials needed would be the new two-plug outlet and whatever wiring was needed to complete the other jobs. Ideally, I'd like to hire a retired electrician who is just looking to pick up some cash on the side. I'll hire a company to do it, but only if absolutely necessary. Hello neighbors! I am looking for anyone who would like to get rid of boys costumes. My 3 year old the size of a 4 year old likes to dress up and I would like to give him a box of costumes as a gift. I am looking for batman, spiderman or any other costumes for a 4-6 year old or a 7-8 year old (likes to try to get his almost 7 year old brother to also dress up with him) I was hoping to pay between 5 and ten dollars a costume. [Highland Park] Looking to donate Christmas decorations to a nonprofit organization...

...or other worthy cause. I have a lot of very nice Christmas decorations from my mother that I can't use -- about ten boxes worth of wreaths, creches, musical figurines, snowglobes, tree ornaments, plush musical snowmen, etc. that I would like to donate to an organization that would give them to people who can't afford to spend money on these things. They are all very nice items, clean and in good shape. I tried East End Cooperative Ministries and they don't have a use for them. I'm looking for other suggestions.
