FYI: Another car break-in on 6000 block of Wellesley. Parked at top of driveway with motion detector lights. I don't think they took anything except change. I thought it was locked, but maybe not (not obviously broken in to). I did file a report with police.

On leaving my residence on the 5000 block of Wellesley around 5:45 this morning I found my vehicle had been broken into. The glove box was open and its paper contents strewn around. I'm wondering if the thieves have a flashlight as there are no interior lights on my car's model... D. Poche

Trick-or-Treat hours in the City of Pittsburgh this Friday, October 31, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. After your goblins and ghosties have completed their foraging rounds, bring them over to St. Andrew's on Hampton Street -- 7:30 p.m. Costume Parade, 8 p.m. Halloween Music on the Organ (thanks to our Organ Scholar Joe Tuttle) and then a climb into the Darke Tower to ring the Bell. [Highland Park] copper downspout stolen

Howdy neighbors! 'Just a heads up....At some point this week, some #$%^& made off with a 7 ft. copper downspout from the front/side of our house! We put all copper gutters and downspouts on our place about eight years ago, and have been kind of waiting for something like this to happen... We have motion detector lights, and an alarm system, to no avail.....it's just so maddening! We didn't hear anything, and just discovered the theft this afternoon. We filed a police report soon after, and are now working on battening down the hatches, and perfecting our "faux oxidized copper" painting skills!
