I realize this probably isn't the most normal of requests, but would anyone want some compost? This is the first time that I've lived in a place without a yard/garden to put my food scraps, and I feel horribly guilty about throwing them away. [Highland Park] Aiki Jujitsu Demonstration

For those of you who might be interested, there is a traditional aiki jujitsu school on Baum Blvd, just east of Negley. My husband and son have been attending classes there for about a year. They really enjoy it, it's affordable, interesting, and very traditional. Next Saturday, the 23rd of September, the school is having a demonstration at 11 a.m. for anyone who is interested in seeing the art practiced or in learning more about the school. I've tried a new service to find contractors called Angie's List. It is free, at least for the first year. I do not know what they charge after that. Apparently the service started because so many people have bad experience with contractors. All contractors are graded by their clients and the results posted on the list. Supposedly, it keeps up the quality control. I haven't had any work done by them yet, but will next week. https://www.angieslist.com/AngiesList/

Hi, I'm selling a brass and mirrored dining table (38" x 74", extending to 96"). I paid $800 or $900 for it at a clearance sale in 1983 or 1984. I have no idea what it's worth. Make me an offer! I need to have it out of the room in about two weeks. I also have a 36" wide computer workstation (spaces for a monitor, CPU tower, keyboard, mouse, and printer). It's made of fiberboard of some sort. It's in perfectly good shape but too wide for its allotted space in my new house. Anyone who will move it is welcome to have it.
