I want to thank all the fitness buffs who responded to my search for a nearby health club. It was helpful and I visited three of the clubs nearby. Originally I wanted a smaller club and felt Club One in Shadyside was bigger and busier than I was comfortable with. But when I visited Club One in Fox Chapel (as several of you suggested) it was exactly like the club I had belonged to over ten years ago. They have a special offer, which I got in the mail, so I got half off membership fee, used sensior citizen discount for monthly fee and am very pleased with how things went. Of course, now that means I've got to GO to it. Thanks for your help. --David

Thanks everyone! The twin bed and book shelves are gone. We are still cleaning and reorganizing and have some things to sale: White computer desk, too drawers and file cabinet on one side, shelves on other, keyboard space and all that. Very good condition. $100 Panasonic color TV, 19". It works very well. $25 e-machine computer. $25 Twin mattress. $20. Almost new. I have pictures if you need them but I did not want to overwhelm everybody's email. Thanks! Of course, I will take offers. Mayte Sáenz

Dear Highland Park community, I would like to tell you about a wonderful site that I found if you a.. are concerned about the environment and keeping items out of the landfill b.. want to declutter c.. don't like to throw things away that are still usuable d.. are looking for hard to find items It's called freecycle.org, and it is a yahoo group you must join. The way it works is that you post your junk, and people who want it come take it away! Or you can post a "Wanted" and someone might have one. It's great! I have been able to get rid of a lot of things that are not good enough for Goodwill, but someone out there has wanted them.
